On Monday we will launch our new annual day of service. We are excited to see how our members will serve their communities in honor of Bro. Bayard Rustin. Join us in service.
🌍✨ Today, on National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day, Delta Phi Upsilon Fraternity Incorporated stands united in our commitment to end stigma and support those affected by HIV. ❤️

We recognize the importance of creating safe spaces for our brothers and members living with HIV, where they can find affirmation and strength. 💪🏾 We are also dedicated to fostering courageous conversations that challenge misconceptions and promote understanding.

Together, we can create a future where stigma is erased and awareness is at the forefront. Let’s continue to work towards a world where HIV/AIDS is no longer misunderstood, and those affected are supported with compassion and respect.
Let us also dream and work towards a world without HIV/AIDS.

Interest meeting this Saturday! DM us for more information.
Happy Founder’s Day Delta Phi Upsilon! Today, we mark 40 years of brotherhood, resilience, and purpose.

As we celebrate this milestone, we reflect on the audacity of our founder and the bold men who, in the face of rejection and adversity, decided to carve out their own space. In 1985 at a time when they were told they didn’t belong, they chose to build a brotherhood where they could be unapologetically themselves. This wasn’t just about creating a fraternity; it was about defying expectations and laying the groundwork for a community that would stand for justice, equality, and love.

From our humble beginnings at Florida State University, our early brothers showed what true courage looks like. Their vision continues to guide us today.

We are fortified at 40 years strong, and many more to come.

Today we celebrate four decades of brotherhood, leadership, and service to the LGBTQ+ community. It has been, and will always be our desire to create a safe space where gay, queer, bisexual, and same gender loving men can experience brotherhood while using their voices to make the world more just. We are fortified at 40! #DPHIUFourEver
On this World AIDS Day, Delta Phi Upsilon Fraternity honors the lives of our brothers, members, friends, and those in community who we’ve lost to this epidemic. We remain committed to addressing stigma and ending the HIV/AIDS crisis. Our Fraternity fosters a safe, supportive space where brothers can openly share their statuses and experiences with HIV care. We believe that by eliminating silence, we can play our small part in eradicating stigma as we continue to fight for a world where health and love are celebrated, not feared. Today and every day, we remember, we reflect, and we stand strong in solidarity.
National Coming Out Day 2024

Homophobia and hate often thrive in an atmosphere of silence, shame, and ignorance. We believe that living authentically is a powerful pathway to freedom and liberation. Our hope is for a future where coming out is unnecessary. We will continue to work tirelessly to inspire the progress needed to achieve this vision.

Today serves as a reminder of the importance of visibility in the fight against discrimination and stigma. Coming out can be a deeply personal and empowering experience, allowing individuals to live authentically and build supportive communities. It also highlights the challenges many still face, emphasizing the need for continued advocacy and support.

This year we collaborated with @southernaidscoalition to host our Leadership Conference at S.O.S. We had a blast attending the Saving Ourselves Symposium in Atlanta, GA. The education was incredible. The networking was resourceful. The community building was powerful. Thank you to the organizing team for being so welcoming. We will be back!
Let’s work together to end HIV/AIDS in the south and everywhere.

August 20 is Southern HIV/AIDS Awareness Day, a day to raise awareness about HIV in Southern communities. When we work to overcome barriers to HIV prevention, care, and treatment, we can #StopHIVTogether. https://bit.ly/3I4iYAh

Delta Phi Upsilon thanks @repjacksonlee for her commitment to the Black and LGBTQ community. 🕊️

Congresswoman Jackson Lee’s work has been transformative, particularly in advancing the rights of
marginalized communities, including and oftentimes prioritizing the LGBTQ+ community. Her unwavering
support for anti-discrimination legislation and her efforts to uplift those often overlooked set a powerful
example for leaders everywhere. She received her first endorsement from the Houston GLBT Political Caucus
over 40 years ago during her early campaign for Houston City Council. This marked the beginning of her
lifelong role as a committed ally.
An early advocate for LGBTQ+ rights, Jackson Lee played a key role in launching the U=U National Task
Force, ensuring that people living with and susceptible to HIV were never left out of the equation. More
recently, as a member of the Equality Caucus, she co-sponsored the HR5 Equality Act. This bill prohibits
discrimination based on sex, sexual orientation, and gender identity in areas including public accommodations
and facilities, education, federal funding, employment, housing, credit, and the jury system, explicitly defining
and including these categories among the prohibited forms of discrimination.
She also introduced HR 4960, the Chyna Gibson Stop the Transgender Murder Epidemic Act of 2023, which
established a commission to address issues facing gender-nonconforming, gender-expansive, and transgender
women of color.
