With over a decade in development and fundraising, he has served as Development Director for Turtle Creek Chorale, helped build a development office at Paul Quinn College, and held leadership roles with the Human Rights Campaign and Lambda Legal Defense and Education.

Research Professor and Associate Dean for Equity and Inclusion at Penn State’s Ross and Carol Nese College of Nursing. With over 30 years in health, Dr. Fields specializes in HIV/AIDS prevention for young men of color. He is an Advanced AIDS Certified Registered Nurse, Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner, and former primary care provider for underserved communities. He serves as the 14th National President of the National Black Nurses Association and was the first male nurse in the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Health Policy Fellowship. Dr. Fields has held academic leadership roles at several universities and holds a Ph.D. in Nursing Science from the University of Pennsylvania.
